Why We Gather and Track Information
SFGMCI only collects personally identifiable information that you choose to give voluntarily. Personally-identifiable information in the form of e-mail addresses is used to send newsletters and regular updates/alerts about new features of the website, important information about SFGMCI, and upcoming events and activities. These notices are distributed by e-mail. You may also choose to share your email address necessary for participation in the dialogue section of the website. We do not furnish these e-mail addresses to third parties.

We do not require you to identify yourself by name to participate in the chat or ‘dialogue’ section of the website; your doing so is totally voluntary. Please remember that any information posted publicly in this area becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information in public.
You may choose to share your name with us if you wish to have more personalized communications with the SFGMCI. You may unsubscribe from any or all of these features at any time.

Aggregate non-personal data regarding the number and demographic characteristics of the users of the website and our participating members may be shared from time to time as part of the information we need to share with our sponsors/funders. This required registration information includes the city in which you live, your age, your sexual orientation, your gender, your race and/or ethnic background and your Highest Education Level.

All online surveys are anonymously completed and are thus never in a form that could identify individual respondents. As survey results are reported back to the community in aggregate form, the information shared in our surveys are never processed in way that could cause damage or distress to a participant.
