The San Francisco
Gay Men’s Community Initiative (SFGMCI and
I-spark SF) is committed to protecting the privacy
of any information you choose to provide to us.
You do not need to provide any information that
identifies you to use this site; you can visit the
site without revealing your identity or any personal
information. Your decision to provide personal information,
including your name, e-mail address, or other personal
information to access special features of the SFGMCI
site is completely voluntary.
Why We Gather and
Track Information
SFGMCI only collects personally identifiable information
that you choose to give voluntarily. Personally-identifiable
information in the form of e-mail addresses is used
to send newsletters and regular updates/alerts about
new features of the website, important information
about SFGMCI, and upcoming events and activities.
These notices are distributed by e-mail. You may
also choose to share your email address necessary
for participation in the dialogue section of the
website. We do not furnish these e-mail addresses
to third parties.
We do not require you to identify yourself by name
to participate in the chat or ‘dialogue’
section of the website; your doing so is totally
voluntary. Please remember that any information
posted publicly in this area becomes public information
and you should exercise caution when deciding to
disclose your personal information in public.
You may choose to share your name with us if you
wish to have more personalized communications with
the SFGMCI. You may unsubscribe from any or all
of these features at any time.
Aggregate non-personal data regarding the number
and demographic characteristics of the users of
the website and our participating members may be
shared from time to time as part of the information
we need to share with our sponsors/funders. This
required registration information includes the city
in which you live, your age, your sexual orientation,
your gender, your race and/or ethnic background
and your Highest Education Level.
All online surveys are anonymously completed and
are thus never in a form that could identify individual
respondents. As survey results are reported back
to the community in aggregate form, the information
shared in our surveys are never processed in way
that could cause damage or distress to a participant.
Your Privacy Matters
to Us
SFGMCI recognizes that there are many potential
privacy concerns for the users of our website. We
want you to know that any and all personal information
that you choose to share with us as part of your
registration is never rented, transferred, sold
or otherwise shared with any third parties.
SFGMCI does not monitor your use of this website,
nor do we monitor your use of any links of the links
included on our site. SFGMCI does not have any control
of information collected on web sites that you choose
to link to. For privacy information outside of SFGMCI,
please refer to the privacy policies specific to
those sites before providing any personal information.
Terms, Changes
and Questions
By using SFGMCI’s website, you signify your
agreement to the terms of our privacy policy. If
you do not agree with these terms, please do not
disclose any personal information through our site.
If we decide to change SFGMCI’s privacy policy,
we will post those changes here so that you will
be aware of the changes.

feedback
Our privacy policy may change from time to time.
You may write to us via email or snail mail with
comments and feedback about our website and policies.
You do not have to identify yourself to send a comment
or question; you may remain anonymous. If you choose
to provide us with your name or other personal information,
we may keep it in our correspondence files (address
book) and we may send you a response. If you do
not wish to be on our email list, please inform
us of your wish to be removed from our contact list.
SFGMCI does not furnish any e-mail addresses received
in this manner to third parties.
